Mridul Arora

Mridul has been with Elevation since 2011 and primarily looks after the fund’s Financial services and Fintech investments. His portfolio includes Acko, Aye Finance, Axio, Clear, and Urban Company. Mridul is an alumnus of IIT-Madras and IIM-Lucknow.

I get most delight in my work from the privilege to engage with extremely sharp & driven founders, and collaboratively problem-solving on their most pressing issues

" I believe, as investors, we are in the business of serving the companies and founders we partner with deep commitment and full conviction. Working closely with founders and seeing them succeed is immensely gratifying for me.

In pursuit of this objective, I end up playing different roles across different companies we partner with - be it supporting on hiring an “A” team, thought-partnering on strategy and scaling up, or just being around to listen. The trick is in knowing how to make a founder feel supported without being intrusive, how to make them feel less lonely on their tough journey without crowding them, and ultimately, stepping back and cheering for them once they fly.

The founders we work with are shaping the future, often at the cost of tremendous personal sacrifice and by surmounting massive challenges. Having the honour of partnering with such resilient beings and seeing them at it everyday inspires me to bring my best to the work every day. "
